English Luxury Edition

An incredible project that has kept us busy for over 7 years. Now it's out, the Mango Tree Encyclopedia. In four languages and two magnificent editions, also as ePubs and tablet app for Android and iPad. 80 volumes, 20,000 pages of content, thousands of images and graphics. We are very proud and honoured that our project partner Georg Olms in Hildesheim and Weiss Freiburg have been deemed worthy by the Royal Court of the Sultanate of Oman to realise this monumental project. Together with our wonderful partners in Italy, we made the entire production possible. Translations and editing as well as the entire handling of copy writing, was handled by Georg Olms Verlag. The ceremonial handover to the scientific world took place in Muscat in July 2016 (see blog article).

The Luxury Edition is a smaller edition of exquisitely finished volumes reserved for special purposes. Made of the finest leather with filigree embossing in a magnificent slipcase and gift box (handcrafted cabinetmaking).

Ein schier unglaubliches Projekt, welches uns für über 7 Jahre intensiv beschäftigt hat. Nun ist sie draußen, die Mango Tree Encyclopedia. In vier Sprachen, in zwei prächtigen Ausgaben, auch als ePubs und Tablet-App für Android und iPad. 80 Bände, 20.000 Seiten Inhalt. Tausende Bilder und Grafiken. Wir sind sehr stolz und geehrt, dass unser Projektpartner Georg Olms in Hildesheim und wir vom Royal Court des Sultanats Oman für würdig befunden worden sind, dieses Monumentalprojekt zu realisieren. Die gesamte Produktion haben wir zusammen mit unseren wunder­baren Partnern in Italien möglich gemacht. Übersetzungen und Lektorate, das ganze Textmanagement, hat der Georg Olms Verlag gehandhabt. Die feierliche Übergabe an die wissen­schaftliche Welt fand im Juli 2016 in Muskat statt (siehe Blogartikel).

Die Luxury Edition bezeichnet eine kleinere Auflage fürstlich ausgestatteter Bände, die besonderen Zwecken vorbehalten ist: Aus feinstem Leder mit filigranen Prägungen, im Prachtschuber und Geschenkbox (handgefertigte Kunsttischlerarbeiten).
